January 18 , 2012 | | In: Uncategorized

Many people dream of starting their own business. After many unsuccessful attempts, most people gave up and continued working their regular jobs. Often, people got depressed because they knew it was more out there. This was the scenario approximately fifteen years ago. With satellite broadband internet and on–line auctions, this scenario became a thing of the past. Auction sites like EBay and Overstock became overnight sensations for shoppers and sellers.

People were intrigued at the fact that they could clean out their garages and actually make a profit. And, that was all it took for most people to get hooked and use the auction sites to start their own businesses. People in urban areas were catching the auction bug and adored it. But, for those living in geographically challenged areas, it was not that easy. In fact, most people in rural areas didn’t know a thing about on—line auctions because they were stuck with slow dial–up internet service or no service at all. For those dealing with the slow connections, most would use their computers for limited amounts of time, feeling frustrated at how slow their service was. This left no time for people to browse or research anything, let alone start a business or shop.

This first appeared in the late 1980s and was analog-based technology. 1G is no longer in use. 2G Internet is still on the market but is fading out of widespread use. This involves slow transmission of digital content. The real discovery was 3G Internet, which is still widely used today. 3G Internet is capable of high transfer speeds that allow users to use Internet browsers, and other multimedia content.

Quinn was the third child in a family of six children. He was just beginning high school, and like everyone in the family, he had his own laptop computer which he used for his schoolwork and other things. Unlike many of his schoolmates, and teenagers his age for that matter, Quinn really liked electronic music. It was impossible to go to the local record or book store and find the newest and latest singles, at the best all one could find was a recorded DJ session, and even those were hard to come by.

When it comes to business, competition is always at present. Every business has their own competitors which the customers have the right to choose the brand they want for good. For example, if there is only one gaming station in your area with only thirty units with more than one hundred customers, it forces the waiting customers to look for other places to play games. But if there’s more than one gaming station in your area, the customers have no more problem on where should they play. They really don’t care if what gaming station would they play, because the only thing that matters for them is to surf the internet and play local and online games. Another example would be the cosmetics. We know that ladies are getting addicted to use lots of cosmetics like lipsticks, eyeliners, blush-on and other kinds of make-ups. But it does not stop other industries itself to start their own cosmetic business, because they need to compete against other companies. There are lots of things that businesses like cosmetics are competing with each other. They are competing about their product’s quality, safety, price and packaging. They also compete in terms of their performance of their customer support, employees and their beauty of the facility. The same thing goes to an internet service provider. Right now most of us are now taking interests to use the internet. Some of us may use the internet for business purposes, while others are using it for entertainment. Since it is already one of the biggest demands for business today, the entrepreneurs are planning to start their own service provider for the customers to use their internet connection. Internet service providers are competing with each other in terms of speed, price, quality and packaging. Speaking of speed, it is the customer’s top priority than the others. Sometimes, they don’t care about the price and packaging of their internet service provider. No matter how much is the price of their internet package, they only care about the high speed of their provider. High speed is very important for an internet user who wants to browse, watch videos and download any digital item they want. Internet users are saying goodbye to low speed connections like dial-up modems, which needs them to upgrade themselves by subscribing into a broadband internet package provided to them.Price is another important thing that an internet provider must set for their customers. If the price is too cheap than the others but same on speed, there is a good chance that a customer might go for the cheap one. However, if the price is cheap but speed is not guaranteed, the customer may have doubts on dealing with your package and moving on to another provider. Although it is just a second priority to a customer, still it’s very important for them to manage their own budget. It depends on the customer’s budget on what internet service provider they choose, as long it is cheap but might guarantee him the speed he wants. This is how competition rises to every broadband internet provider within their area, which relies more on speed, price and quality. If you want something unique that catches attention to an internet user, then you need to test it for yourself in order to beat your nearby competitors.
