The industrial world was revolutionized with the introduction of fluid power technology. The discovery of hydraulic and pneumatic properties has streamlined the manufacturing and production industries. Both technologies generate a force stronger than a person ever could. This force,usually measured in psi (pounds per square inch) is then distributed through a system which converts it into movement. Pneumatic technology works by compressing air or other stable gases in a reservoir and then releasing it through a component called an actuator. The actuator contains pistons, cylinders and valves to properly transfer the force producing either a linear or rotary motion.

Apple Inc., the device manufacturer that seemed ruined some time ago, has rebounded considerably. A big part of the reason for the company’s striking turnaround was its marketing in the late ‘90’s of sleek-looking products that had excellent accessibility to the everyday user. Beginning with the iMac line of computers, the company’s devices had one of a kind appearances that were satisfying to the eye, and functionality that was at times somewhat non-conventional. Gadget design was really turned on its ear, though, by both the turn of the millennium iPod and the late 2000’s iPhone.

By the early 2000’s, mp3 files, which were made up of high-quality audio and didn’t take up much hard disk memory, were the digital medium of greatest popularity for music. Various portable mp3 players were launched, and these permitted users to take files of their favorite tracks with them and enjoy them while they were out and about.
